Jesolo confirms itself as important setting for local, national, and international appointments.

From Friday 1 to Sunday 3 May 2015, the city welcomes the 22nd edition of the Concours Mondial del Bruxelles, an important international oenological competition that every year awards quality evaluations on thousands of wines coming from all over the world.

The rich programme of degustations, tours, workshops, and discussion seminarswill involve more than 320 tasters from 51 countries that will evaluate more than 8 thousand bottles of wine from 58 countries. The novelty of this yea rare the workshops to discover 6 Italian autochthonous vines (Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Primitivo, Nero d’Avola, and Vermentino). It is an important occasion to diffuse the culture of Italian wine beyond the boundaries.

The event was presented Tuesday 10 March 2015 in Rome, at the headquarters of the Foreign Press Association, before the Mayor of Jesolo, Valerio Zoggia, Daniela Donadello Councillor for Tourism, and the director of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Thomas Costenoble.

Only professionals of the wine sector compose the jury of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles: sommeliers, oenologists, journalists of the sector, opinion leaders, and international purchasing managers. The members of the jury only know the year of production and, only at the end of the session, after having handed over the results of the evaluation, they are told which wines they tasted.

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles bestows 3 quality awards to the wines tasted: Grand Gold Medal, Gold Medal, and Silver Medal. The medals are guarantee of quality for the consumer: they help him in the purchase and help distinguish the quality in all its nuances.
