A TOUCHDOWN FOR GIANCA

La Colonna – Associazione Lesioni Spinali Onlus organises the event “Una Meta per Gianca” that will take place on Saturday 1 August 2015 in Jesolo at the sports facilities of Cortellazzo, with the aim of collecting funds to support the researches of Professor G. Fumagalli on stem cells taken from the meninx, to cure chronic lesions of the spinal marrow.
The event consists in a “Rugby Touch” tournament without tackles or scrimmages in order to allow everyone, men, women, and children, to participate.

In view of the Rugby World Championship that will be held in England between September and October, the tournament has the aim of recreating the atmosphere that characterises this event: in fact, the fifteen participating teams represent customs and cultures of the different Nations.
The rugby players of the Italian team present will be Francesco Minto, Edoardo Gori, Paul Derbyshire, Michele Campagnaro, Angelo Esposito, and Alberto De Marchi, apart from numerous rugby players of Benetton Treviso, which collaborate constantly with the summer initiatives of La Colonna – Associazione Lesioni Spinali Onlus.

After the tournament there will be time to have fun with Terzo Tempo Party (Third Half Party) together with  some players of the National team with good food, music, and many other guests.
