The Carnevale d'Estate event, at its 17th edition, starts Sunday 20 July from Piazza Torino. Comedy, Cuban music, and dance-theatre will ensure to the spectators pleasant open-air evenings.

Sunday 20 July, at 9.15 p.m., piazza Torino: Aspettando Ercole (Waiting for Hercules) - Barabao Teatro
Commedia dell’Arte - A band of story-tellers and clowns will narrate, through  the use of masks, about the intriguing and comic story of the birth of the mighty Hercules. Gods with human passions, servants dealing with their freedom, betrayed warriors, busy kings, confused divine messengers, all protagonists of that mythological plot that caused the tragic destiny of the Greek hero.


Sunday 27 July, at 6 p.m., arenile piazza Europa: Concert - Leydis Mendez y la Carretera Central
With "Leydis Mèndez y su Carretera Central" it is possible to “travel” with fantasy to discover the authentic Cuban Traditional Music.
Starting from eastern Cuba, "guajira" land where the rhythm impregnates the green paths of the "Son" and "Vieja Trova Santiaguera", you reach Havana, fulcrum of art and culture and where in the 1950s the most romantic "Boleros" became famous. A fantastic journey to discover the Great Cuban Music and its immortal interpreters such as Compay Segundo, Benny Morè, and José Antonio Mendez.

Saturday 9August, at 9.15 p.m., piazza Rivo Alto: In vino recitas - Teatro dei pazzi
Theatre-song show in Giovanni Giusto’s style. "In vino recitas"
brings the spectator in a fantastic journey in the world of wine, a metaphor to discover the authentic values of life. "In Vino Recitas" a mix of invention and tradition, a love story that begins in the vineyards and becomes an occasion to know better what today is considered a real culture, the expression of a world that still knows how to express love, care, passion, respect for the products of the soil.

Sunday 17 August, at 9.15 p.m., piazza Torino: Amore a Venezia (Love in Venice) - Tipi da teatro
International show presenting all the aspects of being Venetian and what made it famous in the world as an icon of love, art, and “bel canto”. The eternal masks of Harlequin and Columbine with their sharpness, to entertain the audience, surrounded by Venetian ladies, with their 18th century dresses, performing dances ranging from the 18th century minuet accompanied by the harpsichord, to modern dance on the notes that made the Rondò Veneziano famous all over the world. An acrobatic dancer, playing the part of Harlequin, uses the spells of a witch to transform Columbine into a Princess.
Famous opera melodies sang by a soprano and accompanied by a piano player alternate with amusing entr’actes narrating the story of Cinderella set in Venice in an atmosphere between operetta and musical. On the stage: an opera singer, a piano player, two actors-dancers, three female dancers.

Tuesday 26 August, at 9.15 p.m., piazza Milano: Il baule magico (The magic trunk) - Panta Rei
Flying balls, bunches of flowers, magical candles, etc., come out from a magical trunk. A happy ending story for children becomes the occasion to presents the classical, but always “enchanting” magic tricks.
