IN LIMINE. STORIES OF A COMMUNITY AT THE MARGINS OF THE LAGOON
Friday 8 June 2018 at 18:00 in the Biblioteca civica (Public Library) the exhibition "In limine. Storie di una comunità ai margini della laguna" (In Limine. Stories of a community at the margins of the lagoon), with the exhibition of explicative panel on the results of the archaeological activities carried out by the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice from 2011 to 2017 in the site Le Mure di Jesolo, will be inaugurated.
During the inauguration the catalogue that accompanies the exhibition with deepening by the various specialists that collaborated in the project will be presented; the following will intervene:
- Eng. Otello Bergamo PhD – Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Jesolo
- Arch. Emanuela Carpani - Superintendent – Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscapes Superintendency for the Municipality of Venice and Lagoon
- Prof. Giovannella Cresci – Director of the Humanities Studies Department - Univ. Ca' Foscari of Venice – Ordinary Professor of Roman History
- Prof. Sauro Gelichi - Humanities Studies Department - Univ. Ca' Foscari of Venice - Ordinary Professor of Medieval Archaeology, Scientific Director of the project
The exhibition, open until October 2018, was realised in collaboration with University Ca' Foscari Venice - Humanities Studies Department and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism - Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscapes Superintendency for the Municipality of Venice and Lagoon
